Original Cinquantenaire Aeronautique vintage poster. Archival linen backed and ready to frame. Printer: Bedos & Co, Paris. A- condition. (50TH ANNIVERSARY 23E SALON INTERNATIONAL D' AERONAUTICS, JUNE 12 TO 21, 1959 * LE BOURGET AIRPORT.)
This mid-century modern original French poster is for an air show at the Bourget Airport which took place between the 12th and 21st of June, 1959. This is a bold and dynamic vintage poster that sweeps up the viewer with its playful design. The design was created by the artist Paul Formentier and Edgar Derouet in 1953.
The bold and simple design has the aesthetics of space-age influence. The background of this poster in sky blue has three images of interlocked arrows pointing upwards. One arrow is in red, dark blue, and the other in yellow. Where the arrows link there is a purple and a green section within the arrows themselves.
