Publisher Center for Editions, SUNY Purchase 22 × 30 inches Unframed This exquisite hand colored etching by Jackie Ferrara is hand signed and numbered from the edition of 85. Jackie Ferrara is an American sculptor and draftswoman best known for her pyramidal stacked structures - and the present work is a classic example of these designs. Her work is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, and The Phillips Collection, among others. Provenance Original Atelier International Portfolio #78 Publisher Center for Editions, SUNY Purchase About Jackie Ferrara: Sculptor and public artist Jackie Ferrara was born in Detroit in 1929. She has explored relationships between sculpture and architecture in her wood constructions, which have evolved from indoor pieces to increasingly large-scale outdoor works. Ferrara incorporates concrete and natural elements like rock, wood, water, trees and grass in the construction of courtyards, terraces, walkways and other structures emphasizing geometric design. Her public architectural and landscape works can be seen throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Ferrara is represented in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Louisiana Museum, Humlebæk, Denmark; the MIT List Visual Arts Center, Cambridge, Massachusetts; and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. The provenance of this print is from the Reese-Palley Gallery. The famous dealer and adventurer Reese Palley of Atlantic City New Jersey - was the second gallerist in the 1960s - after Paula Cooper - to set up shop in SOHO. Hand signed, dated, and annotated Artist's Proof aside from the regular edition. Pop art pioneer Joe Goode (born 1937) was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1937. In 1959 he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he attended the Chouinard Art Institute until 1961. Hand signed, numbered 22/30 and dated on lower front Rarely to market, this stunning 1988 woodcut was created by Sideo Fromboluti as part of a portfolio produced for sale by Long Point Gallery, an artist's cooperative in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Superb provenance as it is was acquired from the original Long Point Portfolio. This will be the first time the work will be removed from the portfolio. It is hand signed and numbered from a very small edition of only 30; it is in fine condition, unframed and never framed, and housed in the original portfolio box, with the original colophon page, which also included works by 11 other artists. For reference and provenance we have included an image of the colophon page from the complete portfolio.
