About the Item
This is a fourteen (14) color screen print on Reeves textured rag paper, hand signed and numbered in graphite from an edition of 118. There are an additional 18 Artist Proofs. The print was inspired from an enamel painting of the same name, which was created a year earlier, in 2005. There is a bright, white margin around the image.

James Siena (b. 1958, California) is a master of virtuosic simplicity, creating his images from formulaic configurations of lines, interlocking combs, concentric circles, or other basic forms. The magic of Siena’s work comes from the remarkable blend of patience, exactitude, intuition, and grace with which he executes the “visual algorithms” he devises. Siena’s work resides in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, Museum of Modern Art, NY and Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, among others.
