Cartel histórico de Joan Miró realizado en 1974 en homenaje al Fútbol Club Barcelona en su 75 aniversario. Ha salido en varios tirajes. Este es de 1500 ejemplares, todos numerados, con sello seco del FC Barcelona, año de edición marcado y firma de Miró impresa.
JOAN MIRÓ I FERRÀ (1893 Barcelona – 1983 Palma de Mallorca)
Pintor, escultor, grabador y ceramista español, uno de los representantes del surrealismo. En su obra reflejó su interés por el subconsciente, lo "infantil" y su país. En numerosas entrevistas y escritos que datan de la década de 1930, Miró manifestó su deseo de abandonar los métodos convencionales de pintura, en sus propias palabras de "matarlos, asesinarlos o violarlos", para poder favorecer una forma de expresión que fuese contemporánea.
En su obra Miró utilizó diferentes técnicas de pintura, unas de ellas muy inhabituales: aceite, caseína, huevos, esmalte y alquitrán, a menudo incluyendo collage, arena u otros objetos.
A lo largo de la vida Miró desarrollo una amplia actividad de grabador que aprendió en el taller de Louis Marcoussis. En esta época el artista trabajó básicamente con dos planchas de dos colores distintos, más tarde durante su estancia en Nueva York profundizó más en la técnica, lo que se ve en la utilización de los colores. En las obras de su período más tardío se nota la influencia de la pintura norteamericana y la caligrafía japonesa.
Joan Miró era un amigo cercano de la familia Gaspar. Sala Gaspar exponía regularmente sus obras, cada año desde 1970 hasta 1978. Joan Gaspar continúa esta tradición, a lo largo de los últimos años ha realizado múltiples exposiciones de la obra de Miró en sus galerías de Barcelona y Madrid.
