John Buck, known mainly for his kinetic wood and bronze sculptures, has also made important print editions. His homes in Montana and Hawaii provide him with inspiration through their cultural imagery. Buck is also interested in current events, popular culture, and irony. By creating work meticulously by hand, Buck rejects what is currently stylish in the world of contemporary art in favor of developing traditional American or Folk art.
