Artist: Kate Delos – Mexican/American (1945- ) Title: Untitled – Abstract Flower Year: 1983 Medium: Monotype Image size: 15.5 x 11.75 inches. Paper size: 20 x 15 inches Framed size: 22.5 x 17 inches Signature: Signed, dated lower right Condition: Excellent Frame: Framed in simple wood frame. Frame in fair to good condition with some small scratches. This bold, gestural monotype has a warm inviting palette. It is in excellent condition. It is signed and dated in the lower right. In the lower left is the inscription in pencil, “Felicitations, Austin.” Kate Delos is a Bay area painter, print maker and artistic collaborator. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University and currently teaches painting, drawing and printmaking at Solano Community College, where she was named a distinguished faculty member in 2000. She appears in Thomas Albright’s essential guide to San Francisco Bay Area art, “Art in the San Francisco Bay Area, 1945-1980: An Illustrated History” She has collaborated with numerous authors on various books.
