About the Item
Wonderful mid-century abstract serigraph by Kenneth William Auvil (American, b. 1925.) This serigraph features botanical and floral motifs in a bright color palette of yellows and oranges, contrasted with warm reds and umbers. Throughout the piece there are clusters of shapes which are evocative of petals or leaves. Lively clusters of these shapes spill out from the center of the composition, while there are areas of visual rest found along the top and bottom, providing a sense of space and depth.
