About the Item
Composition is an original whitish chalcography artwork on cardboard realized by Leo Guida in 1971.
Hand-signed in pencil and dated on the lower left. Titled on the lower right.
The state of preservation is very good.
The artwork represents a poetical composition with a flower, with texture in different levels of the white surface on the cardboard which made the artwork unique. the artwork is depicted skillfully through delicate engraving in white. Leo Guida: Artist sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave a productive interview on art and the function of the artist with many generations of young people during his activity.
He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico di Latina from 1969 to 1985, and trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural landscape. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida showed all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc.
