About the Item

Composition is an original colored etching artwork on cardboard realized by Leo Guida. Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right. titled and numbered on the lower left, edition 2/3. The state of preservation is good except for some foldings along the margins and a rip on the top margine which doesn't affect the image. The artwork represents a poetical composition. the artwork is depicted skillfully through confident strokes, the artwork characterized by a well-defined choice of colors and shapes, demonstrated in a well-balanced composition by harmonious colors. Leo Guida: Artist sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave a productive interview on art and the function of the artist with many generations of young people during his activity. He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico di Latina from 1969 to 1985, and trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural landscape. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida showed all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc.
