About the Item

**STORE CLOSURE - UP TO 80% OFF - TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT** ***EVERYTHING MUST GO BY DECEMBER 31ST!*** The artist is moving to a new full time venture in 2026. _______________________________________________________ Celebrating the beloved GOLDEN GIRLS on this pop art that only Oliveira can make and think of. **IMPORTANT: This is a limited edition of only 30 prints on premium cotton CANVAS. It will arrive rolled inside a tube** The colorful pinstripes represents all the years of happiness they all brought individually to life. The colorful stripes also represents all the friendships made along the way. As an alternative to the original, this limited edition of only 30 prints on CANVAS is offered by the artist signed and numbered with COA. (Certificate Of Authenticity). Brazilian artist Mauro Oliveira creates artworks using special automotive detailing tape, acrylic paint, pencils and other creative media, finishing his artworks with several layers of resin for an immaculate and super glossy finish. The exceptionally shiny varnish gives Mauro’s pieces a delightful reflection and a finished look. Many of his geometric pieces are named after specific places and skylines that inspired the artwork. Each artwork is precisely planned out and there is little room for error with his technique, which makes each piece equally stunning. Mauro believes the artist should express their emotions and feelings through art. Each piece should have a beginning, middle and an end, with an individual outlook and interpretation for each observer. “What I might be really trying to do with my art, is to represent the complexity of the inner self in a simple clean way using vivid colors. My only hope is that every piece touches the viewer somehow.” Mauro Oliveira was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and raised on the outskirts under extreme poverty, with no running water or electricity. He and his six siblings were sent to a military state-run orphanage after both parents passed away in their 30’s. He feels that he is living proof that people’s generosity can save lives and make dreams come true. His passion for the United States and art started at age 9 in the orphanage. An American woman, a good Samaritan, visited the orphanage looking to adopt an orphan and Mauro became close with her. However, she ended up adopting his best friend, as she did not want to separate him from his brothers and sisters. Before she left, she told him crying in broken Portuguese that if he stayed out of trouble and studied hard, he too would make it to the U.S. one day. His first art project, age 10, was to paint and decorate the plain tin piggy-banks, that were given out free by the banks and then selling them. He encouraged and supervised the other children to do the same and raised funds for food. He did stay out of trouble, studied hard and surmounted every obstacle in his way, dreaming of making it to America one day. He made it to college with straight A’s and won a student exchange program contest sponsored by the Federal University of Uberlandia, Brazil. He studied Journalism and the Arts and immigrated to the U.S. in 1990. Mauro has worked in several different art media from oil pastels and charcoal sketches to clay sculptures. His greatest influences are Spanish artists Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro. Oliveira's artworks have been exhibited throughout the US as well as internationally, most recently in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York.

"Did I know Her?" Print 28 × 20 in. Edition 1/10 by Kate Garner
By Kate Garner
Located in Culver City, CA
"Did I know Her?" Print 28 × 20 in. Edition 1/10 by Kate Garner Signed and numbered by the artist. Not framed. Ships in a tube. Kate Garner is an English photographer, fine artist, and singer. Garner has photographed a wide range of musicians and celebrities, including Dr. Dre, Leigh Bowery, JT LeRoy, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, David Bowie, Cameron Diaz, PJ Harvey, John Galliano, Björk, and Kate Moss. Her work has appeared in the American and British versions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar as well as W magazine, Interview, GQ, Vanity Fair, Elle, and The Sunday Times. Kate Garner was expelled from high school at the age of 16 and became a runaway who joined The Children Of God. To escape the grasp of the cult she hitchhiked from London through Eastern Europe to India in 1970, where she lived for a year as a traveler before being located by her parents. She attended art school at Blackpool in the North of England and later moved to London, where she began to both photograph and model for up-and-coming magazines such as The Face and i-D. Kate Garner first came widely into the public eye as one-third of the 1980s avant-garde, new wave pop project Haysi Fantayzee, along with other members Jeremy Healy and Paul Caplin. Emanating from street art scenes such as the Blitz Kids that were cropping up in London in the early 1980s, Haysi’s music combined reggae, country, and electro with political and sociological lyrics couched as nursery rhymes. Catapulted to stardom by their visual sensibilities, Haysi Fantayzee combined their extreme clothes sense – described as combining white Rasta, tribal chieftain, and Dickensian styles – with a quirky musical sound comparable to other new wave musical pop acts of the era, such as Bow Wow Wow, Adam and the Ants and Bananarama. They appeared several times on the BBC Television program Top of the Pops. Despite being touted by Bowie producer Tony Visconti as the next big thing, the group quickly disbanded after releasing three hit singles “John Wayne Is Big Leggy”, “Shiny Shiny”, and “Holy Joe”, and an album, Battle Hymns for Children Singing, that went gold. Garner then returned to painting, photography, and video, launching a successful media arts career, starting with her collaboration with Sinéad O’Connor...
