About the Item

This work is from the portfolio The Unique Collection for the Olympic Fine Arts 2008 presented during the Olympic Games and produced in 260 copies as the only official artistic product of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Each work of this portfolio is recognizable by the official stamp of the Olympic Organising Committee. LIU Mu, pen name is Huai Gu. He was born in Tongzhou, Beijing, in 1947. In 1961, he began to learn landscape from Mr. JingTing. In 1967 graduated from the Beijing Arts and Crafts school , then he was assigned to the Beijing Enamel plant to be a worker. In 1978,he participated in establishing the Beijing Enamel plant Vestibule School and do teaching work. In 1988, worked at the Gallery of Chinese Painting Academy. In 1992, transferred to the Chinese culture and arts limited company, participated in planning the first Chinese Art Exposition, he served as the Artistic Director of Beijing Chinese HanTang culture and arts Limited. In 2004, he take charge teaching of the senior research classes in the center of education and training of the Chinese Painting Academy. Contemporary landscape painter, who have participated in various academic exhibitions abroad over past years, and published various painting volume, LIU Mu teaching book in Chinese painting, has wide-ranging influence in traditional Chinese painting field.
