About the Item

Silksreen, 1983 Handsigned by the artist in pencil and numbered 169/250 Publisher : The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles Printer : The Litho Shop, Santa Monica 73.50 cm. x 106.50 cm. 28.94 in. x 41.93 in. (paper) From the "Eight by eight to celebrate the temporary contemporary"portfolio BFK Rives paper This large-format work is a fictitious letter from the Franco-American artist to a friend. Illustrated with details evocative of her colorful, childlike world, as well as distinctive elements such as chicks, it is a means of evoking political themes for an artistic promotional campaign. In fact, the silkscreen was created to raise funds for the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, founded in 1979. Certificate of authenticity LCD6946
