About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Church Supper” is one of a series of dynamic abstract unique digital inkjet prints composed of multiple layers of digitally manipulated photographs of architecture, landscape, and food. An old Santa Fe church and a serene mountain landscape are superimposed in warm pinks and yellows over a stone gray leafless tree. Above the tree is a delicate row of antique houses. A brilliant green “negative” of an ear of corn is a whimsical addition to this lively print. The multiple layering of colors and images creates four distinct panels of unexpected shapes and lush palettes of glowing hues and contrast. The 8.25 x 13.75 inch image has been printed on 11 x 14 inch Red River 60 lb. Polar Matte paper.
Patty deGrandpre embraces technology and enjoys using scanned and digital imagery in combination with traditional printmaking techniques. She prints on smooth surfaces such as photo paper and drafting film. The ink sits on top of the media creating greater contrast.
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She has participated in many exhibitions both on local and national levels. She has been featured in a number of periodicals and has received multiple awards for both fine art and printmaking. Patty DeGrandpre is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.

Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
