About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Get it While it Lasts” is an unique abstract inkjet print representing Nine 3 x 3 inch warm sepia “snapshots” depicting various landscapes including trees, ocean’s edge, grasses, and rock formations on 12 x 12 inch Awagami Kozo Natural paper. White spheres interrupt this grid of images with an absence of color while simple bars of primary color hues overlay the images in different directions creating a graphic and modern composition. This contemporary print appears to pay homage to both the art of the Polaroid and to the concept of minimalism, blending both harmoniously. Patty deGrandpre’s contemporary works have a powerful effect as there are multiple directions the eyes of a viewer can be taken, whether it’s right vs. left or top vs. bottom. This unique image is printed in layers and is signed and dated under the bottom right corner of the image. This print will ship at in a protective sleeve ready for the frame of your choice. Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
