About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “It’s Right There in Front of You” is a 11 x 14 inch predominately black, light chestnut, and light pink mixed media unique inkjet print on Red River 60lb. Polar Matte Photo paper. A collection of digital “snapshots” offer multiple views and fragments of buildings, flowers, signs, and landscapes. The layered images appear abstract as overlays of fuchsia, mint green, and turquoise are printed one at a time over blankets of platinum white and pale pink ink to create a luminescent vibrant visual lace. This one of a kind print is part of deGrandpre’s “Print, Paint, Print, Repeat” series where she combines the use of her Epson inkjet printer with layers of other mediums such as paint, block printing ink, and gouache. Alternating the mediums in layers creates works that embrace shifts in color and shape. The subtle variations that occur when the same image is printed twice create an intriguing visual vibration.
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She has participated in many exhibitions both on local and national levels. She has been featured in a number of periodicals and has received multiple awards for both fine art and printmaking. Patty DeGrandpre is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.

Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
