About the Artist:
Rin Lack's work is an exploration of emotional associations through the personification of flora and fauna. Born in rural Pennsylvania, there was an early connection to nature and craft making. Thoughtful and detailed, she intersects ideas of escapism, gender, botanical symbolism, and nostalgia. Involved professionally in pattern design and mural work, her paintings lend themselves towards the decorative. After receiving her BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute in 2011, she was offered a full scholarship at Jefferson University, receiving a Masters in Material Science and Surface Design in 2019. While maintaining her wallpaper business and studio practice, she is the Senior Pattern Designer for a home decor company in Manhattan, NY.
