About the painting: Summer Bloom Series
2015, Shizico started gardening, making a garden for her late-dog, Favor to recover. After Favor had gone to the rainbow bridge, this garden project continued as a Memorial Garden in memory of his precious presence. (2015- 2023 on-going)
Alongside the gardening, Shizico started a series of drawings and plain air paintings in this Memorial Garden, trying to keep the blooms and seasons frozen in time.
This painting is one of the Summer Bloom series Shizico started in early 2022.
Materials:
Archival UV ink, Giclée print on Fujifilm Museum Archival paper ( thick edition-250 gsm)., hand signed and numbered with Japanese gold paint by artist, Shizico Yi.
-packaging in heavy-duty tube for shipping, recommend to frame with your local framer.

Dr. Shizico Yi is a London based artist, working on installations, films and paintings; the documentary nature of her work often concerns the loss, repetition, the everyday subject and memories. With a design and film background, Yi combines her interests making installation projects which relate to artist's personal life in relation to the society and human condition at large.
Shizico Yi holds a PhD in Fine Art awarded by UEL, UK and a Master in Fine Art with a BA in Womenswear from UAL, London. She is also the winner of Women Film Makers: Best Shorts Competition 2013, Los Angeles, USA.
