About the painting:
An exploration centred around the colour yellow and its potential healing power. This painting is the 1st full view landscape painting of Golden Period series. Featuring burgundy-coloured Aeoniums, green foliage, and trees viewed under the warm morning sunlight.
For over 40 years, Benton End in Suffolk, UK served as the residence of the legendary artist and plantsman Cedric Morris, who also founded the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing. Notably, his school attracted some of the most prominent Modern British artists, including Lucian Freud and Maggi Hambling.
This year, landscape designer Sarah Price drew inspiration from Morris's paintings to create the highly acclaimed Nurture Landscapes Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
As one artist passing the torch to another (Sarah herself being an artist before a landscape designer), Shizico Yi embarked on a series of paintings inspired by the garden's exquisite beauty.
Concurrently, this project marks the beginning of Shizico's Golden Period, an exploration centered around the colour yellow and its potential healing effects for individuals experiencing grief.
This painting is the 4th of the series. Featuring burgundy-coloured Aeoniums, green foliage, and trees viewed under the warm morning sunlight.

This is a large Limited Canvas Edition, only 3 have been made. This is the Edition #1 of 3 .
Hand painted heighted by artist Shizico Yi on the majority of the painting including on the side of the canvas, there for you can hang as it is, no need to frame.

An Introduction:
Dr. Shizico Yi is a London based artist, working on installations, films and paintings; the documentary nature of her work often concerns about the loss, repetition, the everyday subject and memories . With design and film background, Shizico combines her interests making installation projects which relate to artist's personal life in relation to the society and human condition at large.
Shizico Yi holds a PhD in Fine Art awarded by UEL, UK 2017; she had completed a Master in Fine Art with a BA in Womenswear from UAL. London. She is also the Winner of Women Film Makers: Best Shorts Competition 2013 Los Angels. USA.

-Artist hand paints to finishing each Canvas Limited Edition, please give 7 days for the varnish layer and fresh paints to dry before it can be safely packed.
-Frames in the pictures are not included. Though the Canvas Edition on Strength Bar is ready to hang, no need to frame. If you need advice on framing, just give us a shout.
