This hand crafted Giclee print on canvas, 'Tanya', by Vasily Golubev, provides the opportunity to own and enjoy a Golubev masterpiece at a very affordable price.
Produced to the exact size of the original painting and beautifully textured with a clear gesso finish following Golubev’s distinctive brushwork, this reproduction was exclusively authorized by the artists' estate and is currently available only on 1stDibs.
"Golubev is precise and selective in his choice of the natural situation in relationship to the figure. In 'Portrait of Tanya' he integrates the figure into a swirling palette of color and texture, organically placing the subject within spatial context. If the first function of the figure is architectural, the second is to warm and humanize the image." -

From 1995 until 2014 when Russia invaded Crimea (at which time cultural exchange largely came to an end) the Pushkin Gallery collected exceptional works from the period of postwar Soviet Union.

In 2000, the Pushkin Gallery moved to a 300-year-old restored hacienda in the world-renowned art center of Santa Fe, New Mexico, where the unique gallery became a must-see destination for art lovers.
Visitors commented that the Pushkin Gallery was like a museum. "Perhaps, it's because we disseminate knowledge," remarked Kenneth. With best-of-class curation and gallery practices, Pushkin Gallery became one of the most recognized purveyors of Russian art in the U.S.
Since the inception of the Pushkin Gallery, 30 years ago, many of the most important and beautiful paintings have been retained in a privately held collection and never shown publicly. Now for the first time, these reserved paintings are being selectively published as Giclee prints.
