"Vive le Paix (Long Live Peace)" is a lithograph of Pablo Picasso's 1954 ink work on Lana paper displaying many of the motifs that Picasso's art was known for. The artist, whose most famous work Guernica depicted the brutal German bombing of the titular city, would make the peace-dove his trademark throughout his work of the bloody 20th century. "Vive le Paix (Long Live Peace)" depicts one such dove flying above a bonfire in a meadow as a ring of people dance hand-in-hand in unity around it.
This lithograph was created after a gouache by Pablo Picasso created in 1954. It was printed by Atelier Mourlot in Paris France. Picasso donated the original gouache to the French political organization "Combat Pour La Paix" in 1954 with express permission to create a hand signed lithograph
