About the Item

Image dimensions: 11.5 x 14.7 cm Vie of Taranto is an original black and white etching on paper, realized by the Italian engraver Achille Parboni. Printed as a plate of the prints suite "90 Views of the cities and Kindom of Naples" in 1843. At the top left margin the printed inscription: "ITALY"; top center: "Naples"; top right: "TAV. LXVI"; bottom center: "Taranto"; bottom right: "A. Parboni inc.". An incredible testimony of the Kingdom of Naples, and particularly a landscape on the Taranto's port. A copy of this print is preserved at the Central Museum of the Risorgimento in Rome. In excellent condition, with lifetime impression, full margins, including a white cardboard passepartout, cm 34 x 49.
