About the Item
Color lithograph after the watercolor illustrations by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry from his beloved masterpiece "The Little Prince".
This lithograph was printed and published in 2009 in Paris using 100% cotton 300 g/m² BFK Rives paper. Artwork entirely made in France: from the production of the paper in Arches in the Vosges department, to the traditional lithographic printing process, one drawing for each different color, one color per press run.
The lithograph is plate-signed from the edition of 300 and features the dry stamp of the artist’s Estate.
Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint-Exupéry (Saint-Maurice-de-Rémens, 29 June 1900 - near Marseille, 31 July 1944) was a French pilot and writer who died in 1944 in a military action over the Mediterranean Sea.
He became world famous with the booklet Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince), of which 80 million copies were distributed in many languages.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, born in Lyon, France, on June 29, 1900, was not only a renowned writer and pioneering aviator but also a talented artist whose illustrations brought his literary works to life. While he is best known for his novella "The Little Prince," his artwork is integral to its charm and enduring appeal.
