Ex-Libris Aloys Vertongen is an Artwork realized in 1990s by the Belgian Artist Antoon Vermeylen Woodcut B./W. print on carbon paper. Hand signed on the right margin. The work is glued on grey cardboard. Total dimensions: 20 x 15 cm. Excellent conditions. The artist wants to define a well-balanced composition, through preciseness and congruous B./W. colors. Antoon Vermeylen (1931-2012) Painter and graphic artist. He was educated at the drawing academy in Berghem and at the Vocational School for Arts and Crafts in Antwerp, after which he attended the Academy of Fine Arts and the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He was involved in the Higher Institute for Printing of the Plantin Society and he was a teacher at the Municipal Academy of Plastic Art in Merksem and the Technicum in Antwerp.Vermeylen produced dozens of prints, book illustrations and other small prints.
