Foetus Politiques Morts-Nés is an original lithograph, realized by Charles Joseph Traviès in 1834, plate 441 from Caricature n°211. Includes a wooden frame. In very good conditions. The artwork represents men in the glass box of, prisoned and suffering from being captured. Pear Has Become Popular is an original Hand-colored lithograph, realized by Charles Joseph Traviès. In very good conditions,except for some riping and folding along the margins which do not affect the image. Titled in French on the lower center "La poire est devenue populaire !" The artwork represents a young man while drawing a pear on the wall and whistling, through harmonious and congruous colors. Charles-Joseph Traviès de Villers (1804- 1859) was a Swiss-born French artist, lithographer, and caricaturist, his artworks appeared in Le Charivari and La Caricature. His Panthéon Musical was very famous and well-known also reproduced musical caricatures of the 19th century. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Jean-Louis himself first exhibited at the Salon when only fourteen years of age, showing paintings of bouquets, a vase of flowers and other small botanical studies.
