"Die Segen" (Sins/Blessing) - 1986 Lithograph On Paper Original 1986 lithograph on paper titled "Die Segen" ("Sins/Blessing") by Deborah Rumer. Red, green, purple, black and white make up six different squares depicting a different representation of love. Titled, dated and signed along bottom, "Die Segen" "Ed. 100" "Deborah Rumer '86" Presented in a white mat. Mat: 14"H x 11"W Paper: 12.5"H x 9.5"W Image: 10"H x 7"W Deborah Rumer (American, 20th Century) is an artist from California. She was an instructor of 2D Fine Art at the College of San Mateo for 39 years. Most recently, she held a retrospective show entitled “Seeking Story” at the Peninsula Museum of Art in 2018. From a set of lithographs by College of San Mateo class of 1989, instructed by Patricia A. Pearce (American, b 1948). Pieces are individually signed by each artist. Barbara Cohn (American, b. 1923) Megumi Kido Julia Pitcher (American, b. 1942) Bu King Liane Rocker (American, b. 1929) Jane Leddy (American, 1925-2019) - Cornell College; University of Iowa, 1947; MA, English Lit, SF State In 1954 Jane moved to San Mateo and Jane refocused her art activity on silkscreen prints. She was a long-time member of the Peninsula Serigraphers, frequently exhibiting her work at art festivals and local galleries.
