Ethereal figurative abstract print of two figures merging by Deborah Rumer (American, 20th Century). Titled "Like a breeze passing...", numbered (Ed100), signed, and dated (© Deborah Rumer c. '97) along the bottom edge in pencil. This piece is an accompaniment to a poem written by Rumer in 1994, a print of which is included with this piece, and reproduced below. Unframed. Excellent choice for a thoughtful holiday gift.
Like a Breeze Passing
Like a breeze passing
you pass through me.
Not a hair moves
yet molecules dance
in ancient patterns
a life's romance
with change is kindled
as wisps of feeling merge
into whispers of thought.
Fair floating spirit-
your delicate wanderings
are the cool blue touch
of new ideas.
My breath becomes a prayer
as in this lightness
you pass through me.
