About the Item
Lucille Fink creates slightly bizarre, densely drawn spaces. Signed, titled, and numbered '19,' in pencil. Annotated on the reverse, "June, 1932, week of 6-10-32, last wk of school." In our first shot we show the image as we suspect she would have wanted it to be shown. In fact, she has not yet trimmed the image and the full edge of the stone is still visible. Fink lets us in on an intimate family gathering that is at once modern in the drawing style and old fashioned in the somewhat dated clothes of the figures.
