"My Bedroom Windows in the Middle of the Night" Etching in Ink on Paper, #13/25
Bold surrealist etching by Ernesto Lombardi (Puerto Rican, 1929-2016). Several figures are floating in front of a windows. One is nude, while the other appears to be more like a toy. A hand is reaching into the frame, about to grab what appears to be a toy donkey.
Titled, numbered, signed, and dated along the bottom edge:

Ernesto Lombardi (Puerto Rican, 1929-2016) was an artist and author from Puerto Rico. He was born in Santurce and moved to Ohio at a young age, where he was raised by his grandparents. Directly after graduating high school, he moved to San Francisco. Although he studied finance and worked for several banks, Lombardi always spent time working on his art and writing, developing them in tandem over the course of his life. “When I do a sketch or serigraph, I seem to get a poem out of it, or a story comes to mind.”
