About the Item
The Mexican artist Francisco Mora (1922-2002) studied in Mexico City at La Esmeraida, with Diego Rivera. He joined the Taller de Gráfica Popular, a graphics workshop built on the tradition of political printmaking. His portrait of Emiliano Zapata Salazar (1879-1919) humanizes the revolutionary hero of the Mexican Revolution.
