About the Item

Etudes de figures dans les Paysages is an original artwork realized by Fortuné Férogio in 1845. Original lithograph on paper. On the left corner the written "Imp. Lemercier à Paris". Titled on the lower margin. Signed on plate by the artist on the lower right corner. Good conditions except for a halo on the upper right corner. Passepartout included (cm 70 x 50). In the center of the composition, a small house with trees and some steps with human figures. The impression is characterized by different and contasting shades that create light and shadows games. The artwork has been realized by the French artist François Fortuné Antoine Férogio (Marseilles, 1805 - Paris, 1888). This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. Nicolas Toussaint Charlet (1792-1845). Good condition on a brown paper, included a cream colored cardboard passpartout (31.5x45 cm) with some spots on the margins. No signature. Nicolas Toussaint Charlet (20 December 1792 – 30 October 1845) was a French painter and printmaker, more especially of military subjects. It was only towards 1822, however, that he began to be successful in a professional sense. Lithographs (about 2000 altogether), watercolours, sepia drawings, numerous oil sketches, and a few etchings followed one another rapidly. Later in his life there were also three exhibited oil pictures...
