Les Chalets is an original modern artwork realized in the 1960s by the French artist Georges Laporte (1926 - 2000).
Original colored Lithograph on paper.
Signed on plate on the lower right corner: Laporte. Inscripted on the upper right corner (Pl.23) and titled on the lower central margin: Les Chalets (Suisse).

Les Chalets is an original work realized by a French artist in the middle of the XX Century, The work depicts a natural environment with two very small figures on the background. The work has been realized by the French artist Georges Laporte (1926 - 2000). Lithographer, and illustrator best known for his maritime oil paintings of coastal landscapes. Born on December 17, 1926 in Paris, France as the son of a taxi driver, Laporte went on to study international business before working as a customs agent. He began painting in the mid-1940s, and by 1958 he won the Sebastien Lepage Award at the Salon of French artists. He found a studio in Quiberon, Brittany in the 1960s where he began painting seascapes in earnest. He died November 7, 2000 in Paris, France.
