Original Etching on paper. Image Dimensions: 13 x 13 cm
Hand-signed and dated in pencil by the artist on the lower right corner: Guelfo 83. On the lower left corner: p.colore unica (trad. "unique color proof"). Signed and dated on plate on the right corner: Guelfo 83.
The dry label is present on the lower right corner.

Raphael is an interesting artwork realized by the Italian artist Guelfo Bianchini in the Second half of the XX Century. The work depicts the great Italian painter and artist Raffaello Sanzio, Raphael (1483 - 1520) for the five hundred years from the death.
Guelfo Bianchini (Ancona 1937).
Born in Fabriano in 1937, he lives and works in Rome, where he did his artistic studies. He has participated in international shows and collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Bartolini, De Chirico, Cocteau, Oskar Kokoschka and Marc Chagall. After a first experience in "living drawing" and in "advertising drawing" he devoted himself only to painting which he discovered as an autodidact. In 1960 he took interest in the human figure especially in the woman one, and he went on developing it for some years.
