About the Item

Figures in the Landscape is an original artwork realized by Jules Adrian Flour in 1916. Original etching on paper. The artwork is glued on cardboard. Hand-signed in pencil by the artist and numbered on the lower right corner. Mint conditions. Very beautiful artwork representing a bucolic scene with several figures. On the background, we can see a temple silhouette and, on the lower side, there is a river. The impression is very fresh and the composition is well-balanced. Jules Adrian Flour (Avignon, 1864 - Avignon, 1921) has been a French artist and painter. In 1883, he moved to Paris to attend the courses of Jean-Léon Gêrome and, in 1887 he exhibited his artworks at the Salon of French Artists. He is considered a very interesting artist of that period, especially for the precision of his stroke and his ability to catch the emotions of the characters of his artworks.
