Raised in a family that collected, sold and repaired typewriters. These and other analog, vintage machines are part of her personal history and led naturally to becoming part of the subject matter of her visual expression. Louise Marleris inspired by Americana and also influenced by pop art and technology.
“I developed my unique art style in a Santa Monica Airport (former mechanic) hanger turned art studio. I currently live and work in St. Louis where antique row meets the most progressive art culture, as well as Joshua Tree, California, where I created the first Type Inn.”
