LUIZA KASPRZYK
Studied at the Faculty of Graphics and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, in atelier of Lithographic Techniques of professor W. Warzywoda. In 2014, her works were presented at the national exhibition Best Diplomas of the Academies of Fine Art in Poland in 2014 at the Great Armory of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.

This piece is inspired by William Blake's poem 'TheTyger'. I design the image in my sketchbook and then transfer it to lino, which I hand-carve. Each print is handprinted in my studio using a roller press. As each print is individually handprinted, there may be slight variations in tone and colour. This print is made using gold oil-based ink as a background and then printed over with the tiger in dark purple ink. Each print has the title, edition number and my signature hand-written beneath the image.
