C F S II is an original hand drawn lithograph by the New York woman artist Marie Roberts printed using hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper 100% acid free. C F S II portrays a Coney Island Sideshow Performance of a SNAKE CHARMER with several onlookers standing by the stage curiously watching the show. C F S II is a skillfully expressed comic figurative line drawing printed in black ink shaded with colored crayon line textures in shades of rich gold yellow, shades of green and light blue. A very fine impression exemplifying the magic and artistic mastery of hand crafted lithography with its nuanced tusche brush strokes and pencil crayon line textures and shading.

Marie Roberts, a Coney Island native is best known for her banners for the Coney Island Circus Sideshow. Her painted banners are a year-round tourist attraction and a favorite subject of photographers. Marie Roberts teaches banner painting at Coney Island USA's Sideshow School as well as at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ where she is a Professor of Painting and Drawing.
Roberts’ work has been shown at venues that include the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, the Brooklyn Museum, PS 1, MOCADA, Deutchbank Galleries. Salina Gallery, LIU, 32 Edgecomb Gallery, Yale School of Art, Gallery SoBab in Seoul, South Korea, and Rivington Gallery in London. Her work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Transit Authority NYC, The Village Voice, Merck, CNN, DiDomenico Partners, Laughing Lotus Yoga, Feld Entertainment, as well as in private collections.
