About the Item
This piece of car art was painted to celebrate the iconic Porsche 917-2 that dominated at Le Mans for many years by emerging artist Martin Allen.
The original oil on canvas painting sized at 24″ x 36″ (61cm x 91cm) has been SOLD.
Limited edition prints are from an edition of 100 and sized at 16″ x 23″ (42cm x 59cm) are still available.
Each is printed on heavy Somerset Velvet, acid-free paper with Archival Inks, hand signed and numbered by the artist and comes with its own certificate of authenticity. It is shipped rolled in a cardboard tube.
NB – frames are not included with the prints.
Artist Martin Allen is a London based. Martin came to oil painting through a circuitous route, having drawn for most of his life and being largely self-taught he was eventually re-introduced to oil painting as a preferred medium to create his varied and diverse work. The methods he uses to paint are classic ones, using layered paint applications rounded off by oil glazes. These create, add depth and harmonise colours. He has shown solo numerous times at Goodwood, The Affordable Art Fair and others, been a finalist at the ‘London art Biennale 2019’, alongside various commissions including work for the BP Shipping collection.

Martin Allen is a London based artist.
