About the Item
Ticket for the Bal Banal (complete), Union des Artistes Russes stamps on front. 1924.
Colour woodcut on grey mould-made paper. Plate signed: N. Gontcharova,
Complete with stub. For the ball held by the Union of Russian Artists in Paris that took place on 14. 3. 1924 at Salle Bullier. The different colours of the paper indicated the price and the reserved seat. A portrait of Tamara Karavina as Spaniard by Gontcharova was taken as the model for the women figures.
