About the Item
This sophisticated lithograph was executed by the renowned visual artist Peter Eugene Ball circa 1970. Realized in black and white, it depicts a stylized and rather rotund man presented in the manner of Pablo Picasso. The male figure appears with what appears to be a cape and satchel, as well as a floral headdress. The rendering is loose and expressionistic, full of verve. While firmly anchored in figuration, it appears only steps away from abstraction. With its grisaille palate and idiosyncratic style, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate prints as well as those with a penchant for compelling objects. The work is inscribed and signed "A.P. To Ned with warm regards Pete Ball" and is in good vintage condition. It comes presented in a lucite frame.
