The artwork represents a beautiful landscape of The Mausoleum of Theodore in Ravenna, through soft strokes, with detail. A well- harmonized artwork. Mausoleum of Theodore, in Ravenna, is the most famous funeral construction of the Ostrogoths. The monument was built outside the city walls, in an area long occupied by a necropolis, which perhaps had a sector reserved for the Goths.
After the Pragmatic sanction the building became part of the assets of the Church of Ravenna. The protohistoric Andrea Agnello, who lived in the first half of the 9th century, informs that in his time the building was used for worship with the name of "Santa Maria ad Farum", due to the proximity of a port with a lighthouse. Today the mausoleum is inserted in a park in the immediate vicinity of the center of Ravenna.
