About the Item
Original 1924 "David Grahams Seger" Swedish Silent Movie Poster, also called Little Church Around the Corner. This silent film poster is professionally linen-backed in very fine condition, ready to frame. Grade A-. Very few of these posters were ever found, but because they were printed on very good paper, this one survived. The poster is signed with initials in the upper left corner, but the artist is unknown.
An exceptionally rare and visually striking original Swedish silent movie poster for the 1924 film David Grahams Seger (“David Graham’s Victory”), known in the U.S. as "The Humming Bird". This unique collector’s piece showcases exquisite Art Deco-era design and printing, capturing both the romance and the industrial elements of early 20th-century cinema advertising.

'For Heaven's Sake' Original Vintage Movie Poster by Eric Rohman, Swedish, 1926
By Eric Rohman
Located in Devon, GB
Printed in stunning stone lithography, this extremely rare poster was designed by prolific poster artist Eric Rohman for the original Swedish release of the action-packed 1926 American silent comedy 'For Heaven's Sake,' starring Harold Lloyd - one of the biggest stars of the silent era. After several years at Pathé, Lloyd made his debut at Paramount with this delightful slapstick classic, in which his trademark go-getting 'glasses' character appears as Uptown Boy J. Harold Manners, a millionaire playboy who falls for a Downtown Girl. With a dazzling finale featuring a double-decker bus careering through the city streets, the comedy of thrills was one of Lloyd's most successful films and the 12th highest grossing film of the silent era.
Rohman's whimsical lunar poster design was inspired by a charming scene in which Harold woos his Downtown Girl (Jobyna Ralston) by the romantic light of a crescent moon - which is then revealed to be part of a neon sign for Crescent Laundry! Lushly printed in lapis blue, black and a contrasting orange, the enchanting Art Deco style artwork pictures the loved up...

"Laderlappen" Original Lithograph Poster by Walter Schnackenberg
By Walter Schnackenberg
Located in Palm Beach, FL
Printed by Oscar Consee, Munich, 1922
Not much is known about this Stockholm-based cabaret act. Translating literally as Bat Man, we see a young dancer tease an oversized bat wearing a monocle -- a truly bizarre but beautiful design. (text by Jack Rennert)
Walter Schnackenberg’s style changed several times during his long and successful career. Having studied in Munich, the artist traveled often to Paris where he fell under the spell of the Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s colorful and sensuous posters depicting theatrical and decadent subjects. Schnackenberg became a regular contributor of similar compositions to the German magazines Jugend and Simplicissimus before devoting himself to the design of stage scenery...
