Rendered in his bright, Impressionist impressionist style, Ensrud pays homage to the iconic Degas ballerinas. Degas was known for capturing dancers at all stages of their performing, from rehearsing in the studio to taking final bows. Here we see a few ballerinas quickly adjusting their costumes and hair before they dance onto the stage.
