Xie Ai Ge is an internationally regarded Chinese artist well known for her sculptures that draw on Chinese philosophies and culture. Her work is at once contemporary and based on ancient Chinese philosophies, hence making her work thought-provoking, relevant, and timeless. She received recognition by art critics as a promising young sculptor in a national exhibition in China in 2005. She went on to exhibit in Germany (Kunstmuseum), where she received more international exposure. The artist has since exhibited globally in Asia, Europe and the US, where her works are part of many prestigious collections. Her work is sought after in Asia, and well-received in the US. Ge's work has been collected all over the world and her work has also been commissioned (a special lifesize sculpture of Tai Chi) and prominently displayed at the beautiful Park Hyatt, Shanghai. His select permanent collections are on display at the Kohler Corporation, USA; Park Hyatt Hotel, Shanghai; Beijing Capital International Airport; Shanghai World Financial Center; Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art; Ming Yuan Art Center, Shanghai; Shanghai Hongji Group and Bank of Italy.
