About the Item
Nice poster from 1970 by Jean Widmer entitled Jouer aux halles.
Jean Widmer, born March 31, 1929 in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, is a Swiss graphic designer. He is the designer of many visual identity programs.
Jean Widmer, who arrived in France in the 1950s, left his mark on French graphic design by revisiting, in particular, the signage of public places and road infrastructures with a goal that was both practical (great progress in legibility) and aesthetic. He is a precursor, one of the first in France to make typography a central element of his compositions.

1982 vintage poster by Razzia for the Paris Posters exhibition
By Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix–Dénériaz)
Located in PARIS, FR
This striking 1982 vintage poster, designed by Razzia, was created to promote the Paris Posters exhibition at the Musée de l’Affiche et de la Publicité during the summer (Été 82). Featuring a bold and graphic collage-style composition, the artwork embodies the dynamic energy of 1980s design.
Razzia, a renowned French graphic artist, is celebrated for his iconic Art Deco-inspired poster designs with a modern twist. In this piece, he juxtaposes a stylized black-and-white Eiffel Tower, a monochrome portrait of a woman, and an accordion transformed into the Arc de Triomphe, all set against a dramatic black background with vivid color accents.
The use of cutout-style imagery and neon-inspired typography reflects the postmodern aesthetic of the early 1980s, capturing the bold creativity of the era. The vibrant contrast of yellow, red, and blue highlights adds to the poster’s visual impact, making it a standout example of contemporary French graphic design.
A rare and collectible piece, this original Razzia poster...

Print - Screen Print on Heavy Paper 28'' x 37'' inches
Edition: Signed in pencil and numbered 125/125
Jimmy Ernst’s artwork was influenced by a number of powerful talents and vital currents in the art of his time. Son of Max Ernst, Jimmy drew upon the biomorphic and surreal compositions of his father, as well as Arp, Klee, André Breton, and Lyonel Feininger. His mature oil paintings, which emerged in the 1950s and 1960s, reflect the Atomic Age aesthetic of the period. Often, they resemble crystals or webs; many look like vast labyrinths and are interpreted as symbols of the unconscious mind.
Ernst was always interested in spirituality and drew inspiration from indigenous American art...
