About Arnold Ronnebeck: Arnold Ronnebeck was a pioneering modernist sculptor, lithographer, and museum administrator, known for his deep involvement in European and American avant-garde circles in the early 20th century. After studying in Berlin and Paris, Ronnebeck became a key figure in the Precisionist movement, renowned for his cityscape lithographs and his powerful depictions of American landscapes. Ronnebeck settled in Denver in 1926, where he became a prominent figure in the local art scene. As the director of the Denver Art Museum from 1926 to 1930, he contributed to the development of its collection of modernist and Native American art. In addition to his work as a museum administrator, he was a professor of sculpture at the University of Denver and a respected figure in American modernist circles.
