Rich and saturated landscape by Edward Ripley (British, b. 1929). A vibrant yellow sun hangs over a farm landscape, set against a bold red sky. The foreground is made up of yellow and red wheat, with a few red poppies in the very front. A two story farmhouse stands beyond a white fence, surrounded by dark green and blue fields.
Numbered "144/275" in the lower left corner.
Signed "Edward Ripley" in the lower right corner.
Certificate of authenticity from "Societe de Verification de la Nouvelle Gravure Internationale" and biography of the artist are attached to verso.
Presented in a wood frame with the original mat.

Edward Ripley (British, b. 1929) is a British painter, lithographer, and illustrator, born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England in 1929. He attended Huddersfield School of Art and Leeds College of Art. He exhibited at Leicester Society of Artists, Nottingham Art Gallery, Century Gallery, and his work is in the collection of the Tate Gallery.
