FRANCES H. GEARHART and Sisters (THE GEARHARTS) SEA TREASURES c.1928 Color block print. Titled and Signed “the Gearharts” in Frances H. Gearhart’s hand. This is an original block print from “Let’s Play”, an intended but unpublished children’s book done in collaboration with her sisters. 7 3/4” x 7 in. on thin laid fibrous japan paper, sheet 10 x 9 inches. There were very few printed. Good colors, generally good condition with large margins for this print A small printers crease at the top in the image. A small remnant of old mat attached to top All and all, a very nice and acceptable example of this print. After 81 years, based on the original prints, this book was published by the “California Book Club” in a limited edition of 1000. $1,750 Color woodcut, Arts and Crafts, Children's Illustration, California Art.

This beautiful Homer woodcut engraving is presented in a brown wood frame and a light beige fabric mat with a black inner mat. The print is in excellent condition.
