CRYSTAL CLEAR is a realistic blue water twilight landscape composition depicting a lone boathouse and marina whose shadowy dock pilings, still deep blue waters and warm twilight horizon in soft pastel shades of lemon yellow, lavender and peach evoke an almost surreal, dreamlike quality. CRYSTAL CLEAR exemplifies Licsko's unique mastery and style where the viewer experiences a visually calming moment of stillness.

Frank Licsko born in Hungary, emigrated with his family to Canada during his early childhood. He paints with oil or acrylic on canvas in a variety of beautiful styles, combining the abstract, the surreal, and the figurative. He is best known for his realist landscapes, which he often alters with a surreal touch, bending, twisting, and layering the scene, creating what he calls his “Etherealism” paintings. His work incorporates multiple planes, forms within forms, images floating above and receding into the other, elements of layered imagery, reflections and refractions of light.
