Waukesha Beach Resort, Pewaukee Lake, 2002 is a giclee print after the original postcard dating from August 13, 1909. John T. Faber is a Milwaukee publisher of postcards focused primarily on Milwaukee, its surrounding cities, and other Midwestern states. The print depicts a beach resort outside of Milwaukee. A few people stand by the Milwaukee Interurban Lines which brought bathers from the city. Although this is a depiction of a place for leisure and entertainment, there is an almost haunting quality to the print enhanced by the sepia tones of the postcard, the isolation of the resort, and the vast emptiness of the foreground.
