Wonderful iconic wine country scene of large California Live Oak with barn and water tower by Napa County artist Louis Bobbitt (American, 1938 - 2011), 1979. #5/300. This piece offers a pleasing and balanced composition with Sonoma County's rolling hills in the background with rustic barns, a farmhouse and water tower framed by asymmetrical oak trees. Bobbitt harkens the viewer back to a quieter time when Sonoma was a quiet agricultural and farming district prior it to becoming one of the world's top wine producers and tourists' destination.
